Extension Privacy
Verdict Trade Lockout Privacy Policy
Effective: February 25, 2026. This policy applies to the Verdict Trade Lockout Chrome extension.
What the extension does
The extension applies behavioral trading lock controls on supported web trading pages, supports delayed unlock and PIN workflows, and can optionally sync lock status to a user-configured local desktop companion endpoint.
Data handled by the extension
- Local extension state in
chrome.storage.local(lock state, settings, and local audit trail). - Journal lock signals read from browser storage/events on Verdict journal pages (including legacy key compatibility).
- Optional lock sync payload sent only to the user-configured desktop companion endpoint (for example
http://127.0.0.1:17373/v1/lock-state).
Data use and sharing
- Used only to operate lockout controls and local safety monitoring workflows.
- Not sold to third parties.
- Not used for advertising or profiling.
- No mandatory remote analytics endpoint is used by the extension itself for lock data.
Retention and user control
- Lock state and settings remain local to the browser profile unless removed.
- Users can clear local audit history inside the extension popup.
- Uninstalling the extension removes extension-managed local storage data.
Security caveat
The extension is a behavioral guardrail, not broker-side hard enforcement. Users should keep broker/account risk controls enabled for mandatory protection.
